So, today, I start my comprehensive exams….which is a little misleading. Actually, I have to write a grant. American Heart Asso. pre-doc. style, which amounts to 12 pages, single spaced. Due the 25, which gives me two weeks to do it in. Problem??? Well, I’ve been in the lab for 30 minutes, and haven’t seen anyone from my committee yet. Not completely ruined the plan, but if I don’t get the question by noon, there could be difficulties. So, the next two weeks will see me either at a computer or at a desk reading. My only real hope is that I only spend about 6-7 hours a day during the weekends working on this, and that I don’t spend all of the 25 rushing to get it done. Mainly because by postponed surgery is the 26, which give me no lean time. But, I managed to get that seminar and presentation all done in (roughly) six days, so I can get a grant in.

“Mah-ridge….Mah-ridge is the reason we a gathered here……tooooday…”

Yep, yet another of my frat brothers is getting married this weekend. That number has now reached 6. Only two are my age. Am I concerned?? NO, OF COUSE NOT!!! Why??? Well, aside from the wicked tax break, I don’t believe getting married now would be prudent. And I don’t think that the Girl would be set for that idea as well…

On the lighter side of things, I have TV again. Jason and I went out side, determined to get the pole set up so that the Sat. people could come and get’er done. Well, when we were looking for the best place to put the pole, a glance inside to gauge the signal strength revieled Futurama….and being is the pole was now in the front of the house, into the ground it went, and TV was had. We also decided that the second floor railing would be a more stable platform to have the the dish mounted too, so that is next weeks project. Also, most of the boxes in the living room are gone, so all that is left is the extra computer stuff and some things that will be put into the back shed when I return from the QC.

I found out that my sister is now got a new boyfriend…he has pierced ears, but he’s Catholic….so I guess it’ll fly…I’m sure Pop my be in the mist of personal delemma’s though.
